Ilford Advocate 1953

This Photograph taken in San Francisco is from a 35mm negative. It was taken with an Ilford Advocate camera made by Ilford Limited of London circa 1953. The lens is a Dallmeyer  35mm f 3.5.  This scan made on a new Epson 2450 does give a good idea of the quality of the picture.

Walthamstow E.17 London. This is a period building opposite the Vestry House Museum in Vestry Road where there are displays about local industry including Houghton-Butcher Ensign whose factory was built in Walthamstow in 1904. 200 ASA Kodak film was used in the advocate to take these pictues.
